Jimmy is an amazing skating coach. I started taking lessons from Jimmy about 2 years ago. I had skated as a young person and then stopped for over 30 years. Coming back as an older skater has been a challenge but Jimmy has been so supportive and encouraging. He takes the time to explain exactly how the body should be positioned, or where the pressure should be on my foot. His explanations are so clear that even when it is difficult for me, I am able to picture what I should be doing. Jimmy is always positive and praises each little improvement so that I keep going even when I feel discouraged. As a former elementary teacher, I am so impressed by Jimmy’s ability to teach the skills of skating, while being so patient and positive.
